The "Warrior" (Heavy Weight 8oz Leather) Pauldron set. A beautiful segmented shoulder, arm and neck protector armour, ALL HANDMADE AND HAND FINISHED. Includes adjustable collar and arm straps designed to mould to your body shape. A comfortable armour to wear on it's own or as a combo with chain mail.
(As leather is a natural product, finishes may vary)
This armour is available with or without a Gorget (at additional cost), if you want to bring your existing leather body armour into the workshop where we can fit an appropriate attaching strap to the armour we will do this FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE
I see that a photo of me wearing said pauldrons is being used, so seems fair to give a review.
The pauldrons are stiff but not rock hard like some. So I noticed no loss of flexability, resistance when moving or leeching of heat. The heavy woolen tunic I was wearing was more noticable while being worn.
I bought the gorget as well but have yet to use it in anger. It is in a softer and more flexable leather than the pauldrons.
Compared to other stiff leather gorget and pauldrons I have borrowed in the past, I can say that the following was different:-
I did a fair amount of rummaging through the undergrowth at that event and they didn't snag or catch on the foliage. I have had that issue with other pouldrons.
No noticable loud squeeking or creaking. (useful to know if your a scout/thief type). I have had that issue with other pauldrons.
A couple of heafty whacks on them that should have smarted, didn't. So as armour, they work ;0)
Compared to others out there, they are a reasonable price. For the price they are good quality. I am pleased with the purchase.
