This piece is truly beautiful. When I first unpacked it, I just wanted to look at it. The embossed Celtic designs reflect the light wonderfully and it will go with practically any costume combination, although I would advise wearing something which protects the (lower) neck, like a coif or a shirt with a collar (like the ones supplied on this site) as the gorget tends to rub uncomfortably at the neck if exposed, so do not wear this with just a t-shirt. If you want to bulk up your character, but don't want to add weight to the costume with metal pauldrons, this is perfect. I'm am VERY happy with it.

Some of you may be looking at the price and be wondering to yourself “is it worth it?”. The answer, I discovered, is a definite yes. While smaller than I first thought, when you see it up close, you realise what a beautiful piece of kit this is. The embossed Celtic designs look amazing and really stand out when the light touches them just right. This piece of kit compliments a wide variety of costumes but for added comfort, I would recommend wearing one of the inexpensive long sleeved cotton shirts (sold on this site) to prevent the leather gorget from rubbing against your neck. Other than this however, its very comfortable and offers a good degree of movement. Worth every penny!
